BIO RBD Coconut Oil is a plant oil in BIO quality extracted from dried pulp of coconut kernels called copra. RBD stands for refined, bleached, and deodorized coconut oil. Most of its composition is made up of lauric acid and other medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), which contribute to its metabolic effect in the body. BIO RBD Coconut Oil is produced by a refining process in which oil is released from the pressed copra. It is then heated to high temperatures for deodorization and filtered to remove all impurities and residual bacteria. Therefore, the final BIO RBD Coconut Oil has no smell and coconut taste, but has a high smoke point, which is between 200 – 230 °C.
Thanks to its properties, BIO RBD Coconut Oil is a popular ingredient in the kitchen. You can use it in cooking, baking, frying, and deep-frying because it does not over burn and, unlike virgin oils, does not change the taste of the ingredients. It has a solid consistency when stored at a temperature of up to 23 °C, so you can also use it as a substitute for creamy butter, or spread.
